Each election season, the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce hosts a Primary Candidate Forum Luncheon, providing a unique opportunity for candidates to engage with Chamber members and the business community, articulate their vision, discuss their platform, and connect directly with constituents.

The July Chamber Luncheon will host candidates seeking election in the 2026 Citrus County Board of County Commissioners primary races for Districts 2 and 4. Since all competing candidates are members of the same political party, this will be an open primary in which all voters, regardless of political party affiliation, are eligible to vote. The primary winners in each district will become the elected Commissioners.

Candidates will have the opportunity to share their vision for Citrus County, discuss issues impacting our community, and communicate their priorities for the future. This forum provides attendees with valuable insight into the individuals seeking to serve on the Board of County Commissioners before heading to the polls.
