Mentorship Monday: Careers & Community | Technology & Cybersecurity
Monday, October 5, 2026 | 4:00–5:00 PM | Twistid Arts Initiative, 208 W Highland Blvd, Inverness, FL 34452

Ever wondered who keeps a sheriff's office's computers safe from hackers, or what it takes to build the systems behind the apps we use every day? This month's Mentorship Monday is all about technology and cybersecurity, and how you can get started right here in Citrus County.

Local professionals will share how they got into the field, what their work looks like day-to-day, and what they'd tell a student who's curious but not sure where to begin. No slides and no lectures, just real stories and your questions. You don't need to know anything about coding to walk in.

Featured speakers

• Ethan Paprzycki, IT Security & Support Supervisor, Citrus County Sheriff's Office
• Tim Gilbert, Principal DevOps/Platform Engineer, Imprivata
• Keith Consol, Applied Cybersecurity Instructor, Withlacoochee Technical College
• Kevin Strickland, Computer Science Instructor, Withlacoochee Technical College

Open to middle and high school students, and parents are welcome. Food is provided by Sound Decisions, and there will be giveaways at the end.

Presented by the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce and Twistid Arts Initiative.
